Margaret lives in Treenbeg, Newport Co Mayo for the past thirty years and enjoys painting landscapes, seascapes, florals as well as portraits. Her medium of choice are acrylics on canvas.
“My artwork is imaginative, colourful and I hope it can communicate with people a memory of a place where they would like to visit”
She draws much of her inspiration from her local surroundings, culture and the spectacular costal landscape of Mayo’s wild Atlantic way. The opening up of the greenway from Westport, Newport to Achill Sound has inspired many of her paintings.
Her first Exhibition opened by Minister of State for Transport, Tourism & Sport Michael Ring T.D ‘Heavenly Inspiration’ was held in Mulranny Park Hotel in 2011
